Ulorrya is a project run by Gregory Symonds in British Columbia, Canada. This notice explains how personal information is handled when you join Field Notes from Ulorrya or contact the project.
Newsletter subscriptions
When you sign up, we collect your email address and a record of your subscription and consent. We use these details to confirm your signup, send Field Notes and project announcements, and manage your email preferences. You confirm your subscription through a link sent to your inbox.
MailerLite provides the signup form and email delivery service. Subscription records can include signup and confirmation dates, source information and technical details such as an IP address.
Email activity and website services
Our emails may record delivery, opens and link clicks through MailerLite. We use this information to understand readership and delivery performance. Open tracking uses a small image in the email; email software can affect the accuracy of these reports.
Loading the embedded signup form connects your browser to MailerLite. Website hosting and form providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure their services. This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. Fonts and project imagery are served with the site.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your address, message and any information you choose to include. We use this information to respond and handle your request. Project email is managed through Google Workspace. The privacy address is monitored by Greg.
Service providers
We use MailerLite for subscriptions and newsletters, Google Workspace for correspondence, and our website hosting service to operate the site. These providers process information to supply their services. Processing may take place outside Canada, where different privacy laws may apply.

Retention and unsubscribe requests
We keep subscription information while it is needed to manage your subscription. You can withdraw newsletter consent using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. An unsubscribe record may be retained to honour your choice and prevent further newsletter sends.
Correspondence and other records are kept only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, to resolve requests, or to meet applicable legal obligations. Unsubscribing does not automatically erase all existing records.
Your privacy requests
Contact privacy@ulorrya.com to ask about your information, request access or correction, request deletion, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing personal information. Some requests may be subject to legal limits or recordkeeping requirements.
